@Flashplayer0CD In Japan the thing with the age of consent is that while at a national level it is set at 13, the law that actually gets enforced is the prefectures' age of consent, I remember that in Tokyo it is set at 18, I think most of them it ranges between 16 and 18 but usually with clauses covering if both partners are underage, the kind of relationship dynamic, for example to avoid someone in a position of power say it's ok just because the other party is over the age of consent and all the other detailed law stuff. So in practice it is not that different from the US or other western nations.
