If this is indeed the same Mikimoto Rin as the author of Kyou no Kira-kun and Gozen 0-ji, then color me...extremely impressed, actually.
Not by this set of early oneshots, because they are indeed generic unhealthy mid-2000's shoujo manga fare, but by how much she has improved over the years. She clearly grew into her own style since then, as the later works are full of heart and charm, with uniquely dorky-yet-lovely heroines, complex and interesting male love interests who aren't afraid of emotions, and Gozen 0-ji in particular is unapologetically funny.
(This is why feminism is good, people. It makes shoujo manga dramatically better than it was in the dark ages of Rapey McHandsomeface.)
