oof i know elliot wasn't lillian's blood-related family but it's still such a damn relief to see it written explicitly here. (if it was written explicitly in earlier chapters, please forgive me as i don't have a detailed memory of it!!!) i do wonder what his whole deal is 🤔 he's a rather mysterious fella

Big hmmm here but the afterword was really cute. So Helena + Arnold had Lilian and William. Then what is Elliot and his dad's relationship with Helena?

If Elliot's dad is Helena's brother, doesn't that make Elliot and Lilian cousins instead of siblings? The same goes if Eliot's dad is actually Arnold's brother.

If Helena and Eliot's father/Alexander were lovers or ex-lovers, then Eliot could be a half-sibling with Lilian and William.

Either way, this is an interesting read.

I really have trouble keeping with the plot, but man, just the art alone is enough to give this one a full score. It's gorgeous and unique and fits so well with the overall vibe.

@Aisuu I'm also wondering if he's their cousin. Another possibility is Elliot's dad could be a different male relative of Arnold's, such as a cousin, old nephew, young uncle, etc. which would still allow him to possess same last name but the blood relation would be less close for Elliot and Lilian/William.

The other relation to figure out is Arnold and Helena. I'm hoping they're a normal couple but the other chapter implied that they might be in some kind of forbidden relationship. However, I think this seems unlikely as the objection seemed specific to Lilian. After all William has the same parents so if that objection was going to be made it could have already been done. This leads me to believe that it has more to do with the circumstances around Lilian's birth or that for some reason they think Lilian herself is a problem.

If you remember in the early chapter her father/stepfather said she (Lillian) looks like her Mother (Helena).

Now we know Alexander, Elliot's father hates Lilian for some reason. Is this because she (Lillian) reminds him (Alexander) of Helena since they look the same?
Of course if this is true the question is why, is it a love interest gone wrong, or like it appears in chapter 18, Helena is crazy ?
