I don't think this is true. Gross? Yeah. Fetish material? Also yeah. But it never tries to imply that Ayane is gay because she was abused. A lot of gay people have been abused more often because they're easy targets in a society that rejects them. Implying that her sexuality is caused by her abuse is reductive and playing into those very argumwnts.

I'm not going to vehemently defend it since I have no idea what direction the author will take on this, but from chapter 27, I kind of hope it will be addressed for the abuse that it is(maybe I'm too optimistic idk).

Also adding this in an edit because I forgot: It's also important to note that the author is not from America/the west so they are unlikely to be exposed to the same propaganda we see from a western lens. I'm unfortunately/fortunately not familiar with Taiwanese homophobic sentiment, but if it's similar to the one in Japan, homosexual relationships, at least for women, aren't seen as this thing you're "groomed into" by homophobes. It's more like frivilous relationships girls have in their youth that they're expected to grow out of. See early depictions of Class S in place of actual lesbian relationships in early yuri media.
