Translating pandemonium to bundemonium is a bit...clumsy?, is it even necessary?

Or is the connection between pan and bread something that native english speakers cannot catch?

Hmm, I feel like I've seen that "Demonium" before...
Oh yeah, they were in Gintama in the Diviner Arc.

Also, since this is an official translation, I think they go on the idea that the reader has no grasp of the Japanese language.
So there's no assumption that the reader knows that pan = bread in Japanese.

Localisation is bit like that; to what degree to you translate wordplay and euphemisms? Pun heavy comedy like Gintama needs tons of TL notes in order to understand all of the humour and references.
