I'm so ready for the chapter where he realizes he already fucked everything up back in high school. Imagine not talking to your gf for years but thinking the feelings will remain. Idiot.

Ten years, and he purposefully paraded other girls in front of her thinking she'd be jealous. Congratulations you played yourself, dumbass. No amount of backstory can save this wanker.
Oh God, I truly hope she doesn't end up with Mashimo. I didn't care about him in the previous chapters but, man, after realizing he's an asshole, I can't stand him whatsoever...
I should have expected this since I started reading this manga due to very negative post about Mashimo but I was surprised anyway. This was not how I expected his character to be like.
It's really a shame because the past three chapters were really good! And I really like Kikka too. . .
I also noticed that this was written by the mangaka of Akuma to Love Song. I remembered loving the MC of that manga a lot but was ambivalent about all the male characters. I thought the mangaka really leveled up with her male characters with the past chapters focused on Hirara but now, I think she hasn't improved at all. Whatever good things Hirara brought to the story in the past chapters were just dragged by Mashimo in just one chapter.
I have a feeling the ending to this will leave me as frustrated as I did when I finished reading Heroine Shikkaku. Read that manga years ago and I still haven't gotten over it yet. But I'll continue reading this anyway because despite the disappointing ending it'll inevitably have, there'll probably be some good moments along the way.
