It's the same pattern, likely just something made up by the mangaka. If it's foreshadowing then well idk I guess I'll be proven wrong

otcho is now my favorite character. dude is filled with regret, but isn't paralyzed by it, and still does his best to help people. he and kenji make good foils for each other

He remembers the story he made better than Kenji it seems, though Kenji has the book as well of course
