You know, now that I think about it, WHY does the author keep mentioning at every intro that humanity's birthrate is in decline?

Is that in anyway related to why cats can now talk?
Theories:
-Humanity is being slowly replaced by cats as the dominant intelligence species on the planet somehow.
-Something else caused their birth decline, so humans enhanced cat's intelligence artificially to be their emotional companions, to have someone to talk to at the final years of humanity
-Same as above but with unwholesome implications for cat's new intelligence and their bonds with humans...

Maybe the simple 4koma style started out on pixiv without it being in any particular order before they got serialized ?

But it would be cool for a sudden lore drop

They're indoctrinating us with propaganda (not that they need to) like how ppl say alien movies/medias are slowly being a part of pop culture so humanity doesn't freak out when aliens do reveal themselves xD

Altho if it talks about /japans/ declining birth rates, I wonder if it'll "check in" on other countries or so to see what it's like, or not at least a foreign exchange student/tourist visiting Tokyo one day

I think it starts and ends every chapter the same just because it gives it a cozy feel... It would be cool if there were some subversion later, but I just checked chap 54 (the last one I have) and it's still the exact same start and end text.
