The overarching theme of the story is about moving on. All major characters are shown to be in a similar situation.

Hiyoko still holding back, it hurts her more than saying what she should. Tsugumi feelings for Otone changed, at first he made a story about her, but then completely different one, moving forward.
It's not selfish if he doesn't hold her in his heart as he used to, that vision Tsugumi disappeared as he get to know Otone real self.

Poor girl, hope she tries to confess once again or better yet, Tsugumi does it first as he basically also wrote about her in the second novel.

At least Nico said goodbye...

Thanks for scanlation!

Terrible ending. Reiichi doesn't resolve his guilt in Otone's death, Hiyoko doesn't confess and start a relationship with Tsugumi. Bansai doesn't even hear about his dead sister being alive as a ghist and getting to speak with her again? Why wouldn't you tell him, she's her brother you asshole! The promise was sliterally "with everyone together forever" and most of them don't show up at the house! Why would Tsugumi have even repressed a promise like that?

If this wasn't axed it's completely incompetent writing.
