Then the author did a self insert, F because this manga will not share same luck with have a anime/live action, was a so-so ending, Nico cant move on, she become a normal ghost and loss every material interaction, she cant touch or speak or hold items or visbility only few ectoplasm gas ... the worst ending
Why 25th hour? Well Only a dev zombie will understand xD

you know, this really isn't a bad ending. all of the themes were leading to this, being shackled to the past, and then using it to move forward... it's bittersweet and hard to move on from, but in the end, if you're alive, you always have a future. it's what nico would've wanted haha

I enjoyed the story. It's fitting that it ended at 25 chapters like how the title states. I liked the ending in my opinion, but I am a bit confused whether Nico came back, or it was something else entirely.
AH IT DID END IN 25 CHAPTERS I DIDN'T EVEN THINK OF THAT!!!! AAAAA

Also: Who the fuck just runs away from a house fire instead of waiting for the fire department?

That's exactly what I was thinking. The fire department could've provided life saving interventions and transported her to the hospital for definitive care. Or, at the very least, attempted it. Her actions made no sense to me.

Carbon monoxide poisoning and severe burns does that kind of things, she saw Tsugumi being safe but ran for a picture book they made, it wasn't a bright idea but due to mentioned circumstances it just happens.

People die in house fires like that...

Well, that was a lackluster ending, story was about moving on not being shackled by regrets.

Reiichi should confess about his actions during that time to Bansai, sending out Otone to her death, but he lives his life in torment of his choice so there's that.

Hiyoko being held back by her personality then but now all grown up and much more talkative and cheerful, exchanging some affection when they met after the ceremony could show they're together now (I think) but it was cut into siblings meeting and Kouta missing him. This sucks.

It was a good story, cheerful at times but very sad too.

9/10 just because unresolved matters I mentioned.

Thanks for scanlation till the very end!

Terrible ending. Reiichi doesn't resolve his guilt in Otone's death, Hiyoko doesn't confess and start a relationship with Tsugumi. Bansai doesn't even hear about his dead sister being alive as a ghost and getting to speak with her again? Why wouldn't you tell him? He's her brother, you asshole! The promise was literally "with everyone together forever" and most of them don't show up at the house! Why would Tsugumi have even repressed a promise like that?

If this wasn't axed it's completely incompetent writing.

Another "it's up to the reader's imagination" again. I hate this shit. Give it a proper ending, even if it's happy or sad.
"Up to the audience interpretation" literally means there isn't any actual ending. It's pretentious hack writing pretending to not be lazy. Just says and show what you want us to or admit you can't do that.
