Also, I think I figured out why this series draws me in so much - because the background/wide angle shots of the outside, and even the shots like the first time we see the club interior, are all hand-drawn and aren't just computer renders with perfect perspective and lines & angles.
It makes everything feel that much more authentic and even "energetic", which complements all the the wild SFX work and the overall vibe of the series surrounding music and adolescence.
Getting a sit-down with the PI that's tailing Anzu was interesting, though. A bit more peeling-back of the curtain into her life and into her mother as a person - though one who would hire a PI on her own daughter, really doesn't do any favors in terms of making her seem like a decent person.
But I hope Anzu clears the nausea and the nerves and floors them all.
All-in-all - just a wild series, one I wouldn't have thought I'd like as much as I have.
