ugh, stage jitters. If her migraine wasn't bad before..

Also, I think I figured out why this series draws me in so much - because the background/wide angle shots of the outside, and even the shots like the first time we see the club interior, are all hand-drawn and aren't just computer renders with perfect perspective and lines & angles.
It makes everything feel that much more authentic and even "energetic", which complements all the the wild SFX work and the overall vibe of the series surrounding music and adolescence.

Getting a sit-down with the PI that's tailing Anzu was interesting, though. A bit more peeling-back of the curtain into her life and into her mother as a person - though one who would hire a PI on her own daughter, really doesn't do any favors in terms of making her seem like a decent person.
But I hope Anzu clears the nausea and the nerves and floors them all.

All-in-all - just a wild series, one I wouldn't have thought I'd like as much as I have.

the art in general for this manga is always a joy (Ikoma bugging Anzu on the couch was a cute bit) but I love what they pack into some of the smaller panels at time, Meiling's reflection "drowning" in the club soda as the PI gives his lecture was a fun (read: hurts good) moment lol, I continue to be fascinated by her Deal and how it will intersect with Anzu's

stage fright's always rough but seeing Anzu see not just her mom but herself in the crowd was Rough, poor gal's got her two worst enemies bearing down on her... it'll be real satisfying if she can break past that for this show but I wouldn't be shocked if it took another performance or two

Poor Shunpei is gonna have to give one hell of a pep talk to get Anzu back in the game or Ikoma's gonna start some shit... banned from da club before you even properly debut. Can't wait for the next chapter!
