Pretty interesting vintage manga, though as much so as a historical source as it is for its own virtues.

Has a bunch of bare boobies fanservice (in some chapters, censored out by TRANSLATORS of all things) and tons of gore, presumably hence the "seinen" classification... but a very wimpy classical shounen MC, whose lack of resolve to kill or fight cheap is super-jarring, and due to which he tolerates and enables an impossible-to-believe quantity of collateral damage and unnecessary death

ESPECIALLY since, due to the main villains' absolute agenda throughout most of the series, a simple threat of the MC & heroine committing double suicide would thoroughly disarm and stalemate the big bad, stopping most encounters in their tracks, while actually following through with it would corner them entirely

First 10 chapters are flipped to western left-to-right style.

The main downside of this manga, as far as I got in it, around volume mid-30 something, was the endless "epic" fights that dragged on longer and longer as you went. It got as bad as a shounen manga by an author tired with the series but who has no other ideas and since it's selling well why start a new one? Piece together that with the MC who often moves the plot ahead simply by fucking up, and it became a chore to read. YMMV, but for me the main story skipped around and was too unfocused; too many times the plot was sidelined in a new direction, or a flashback started, and invariably I was eventually barely reading and flipping past pages out of boredom just to get back to the original story.
