On the side note, there's something bothering me about Tomioka's flashback. It sounds like he met Sabito for the first time on Wisteria mountain. He did not have the signature mask of Urodaki's apprentices, and he addressed Urodaki as sir ("dono", or "lord" in official translation), not master (sensei / shishou).
So there's a high chance that he trained under another master at first, only switched to Water Breath after the selection in honor of his dead friend. That also explained why he's so obsessed with having Tanjirou - a genuine apprentice - rising to take Water Pillar seat.
