Actually, you only need a dimly litted room, preferredly an incandescent bulb. You may use a fluorescent bulb but I like retro feel of the incandescent more.

Almost everyone does. There are studies on how specific wavelength ranges of light aren't that great for your eyes or health overall.

Heat bulbs weren't bad in that regard, but fluorescent are shit, and so were leds for a long time (now they're well on their way to reproduce visible part of natural daylight emission spectrum in cost efficient way though).

What part of the description suggested this would be anything other than a cute story about an awkward couple with slow progress? If its not what you want then look elsewhere as the author is giving exactly what was offered. Also knowing the process of sex and how to do it are different things, they have no experience and conflicting ideas of what the right mood is so its going to be challenging.
