yeah i was like WTF too even a cigarette is censored i dont know if it is the tranlaters who r censoring it plz stop

@Heavenly_Eclipse it's definitely not the translators doing it. ? it's the artist thats censoring everything that's censored.

@Heavenly_eclipse @Gbowz Likely the cigarette was censored in order to fit in to a lower rating system. If something depicts the use of alcohol or drugs (including cigarettes) then it's automatically rated 15+ in Korea. By censoring the cigarette it can be listed at 12+ instead. Similar to how Blizzard had to take away Tychus' cigar in Heroes of the Storm because in some countries just one character having a 3 pixel cigar changes the game's rating to M (or the regional equivalent). Or how World of Warcraft had to cover up the bones of all the skeletons in their Chinese version in order to avoid it being banned outright.
Asia has much stricter censorship regulations in general. South Korea, for instance, bans pornography entirely. That's part of the reason K-pop singers dance so suggestively; It's kind of a soft-core porn stand-in. In South Korea search engines are required to verify age so if it were to fall in to the 15+ bracket instead of the 12+ bracket it likely wouldn't be searchable at all for people below the age of 15. If the rest of the work can fit the criteria for the lower bracket it's just a practical choice to censor the cigarette and broaden your possible market base.
