People were saying sasuke's motivation to be strong was weak, but based beards story is flinther thin as well. He is just "the ultimate pinnacle of martial arts" and nothing anyone can do can beat him. Thats not really a convincing way to write a character either.

Also the criticism about their romance not being fleshed out enough to be believable is fair but you need to take into consideration the whole structure of this story. What room was there really to flesh out their love beyond having them always showing strong signs of affection? A few chapters of them going on a date? I'm sure it would have been cute, but you've got like 30 other dudes who all need to be rapidly fleshed out too. The author did what he could with the time he had at hand, and I'd say it's good enough for what it is.

what? She has clearly been brainwashing him since day one. It has been made clear that he never kills because she asked him to. His entire life singularly revolves around her. And their relationship doesn't show the tiniest bit of depth. Either the writer has no understanding of love whatsoever or, the more likely, this is all brainwashing. Which would perfectly explain everything.
