I would totally dig it in any other manga, but here I'm a bit "Meh" if Ohma wins shonen style.

Still really cool though.

Eh, Ohma always got stronger the harder he is pushed. Now he's both on a higher base-level than previously and his opponent is stronger than any he faced before. It makes sense that just having someone cheer him on in the face of Watatsuki's pressure is enough to give him a powerful second wind. It's at least consistent.

Is not only Watatsuki's immense power, but the pressure of the whole stadium cheering for him too, Ohma was overwhelmed and full of insecurity ... And then comes Sir Yamashita

Yeah, I wouldn't say it's a shonen "believe in me!" power up, moreso that Wakatsuki being a fucking monster and literally no one being on his side now that he's opened up were getting into his head but Kazzy snapping him out of it by cheering for him let's him refocus and not give up. Makes sense.

It's interesting because Wakatsuki is so mild-mannered you wouldn't figure he'd be one of the most dangerous fighters.

if he wins thanks to the power of friendship and believing in the heart of the cards, i'll groan hard

Hahaha, if there's anything I've learned from this manga it's that the power of friendship and encouragement does jack shit.

I love how much Wakatsuki is portrayed like the absolute monster that he is.

All those lumps and bruises on Ohma’s limps, the power of each strike, the crowd cheering his name and how everyone is so sure of his victory, and of course that amazingd boast ‘BE PROUD TO BE DEFEATED BY ME!’

Love it!
