@Comrade-Sandvich
Okumaa is the Jack ass in this, he is one of those guys who only looks at things that are liked by others.
And being Mr Smoothie, using Nagatsuki as a means to get closer to Chiyo...
and Chiyo is just being mean for no reason...
As sylvacoer says, at least she's being consistent. Chiyo's been mean to Igarashi the whole time, even though she's actually said she loves him. I guess that's just how tsunderes are. I do keep wondering to myself, though, would she treat Ookuma the same way if he was her boyfrirend???
@sylvacoer
there was a brief flash of "Chiyo doing the right thing" but she drop-kicked it immediately. At least she's being consistent(?)
Brief flash, as in a whole 2 panels devoted to whether or not she should be open and honest with her boyfriend. 2 panels! Consistent, by golly yes! She devoted 2 panels (that's right, just 2 panels) back in chapter 55 to thinking whether or not she should tell her boyfriend that she actually knew his co-worker (instead of pretending she didn't know him). So, in over 110 chapter and countless hundreds of panels (if not thousands), Chiyo has devoted a whole 4 panels to thinking about being honest with her boyfriend about Ookuma. Whoopee!
@websterq
Why can’t chiyo just be honest?
It's just not in her nature. She was a liar when she was young, and it's stuck with her. Perhaps it's because she was traumatized when Igarahsi moved away (chapter 6) before she was able to apologize for lying about hating him (prologue). In Middle School, Chiyo also convinced herself she hated Igarashi because she couldn't forget him three or four years later (chapter 14).
Also great for her friend for asking a question we’ve been curious about.
True, but if Ookuma is honest with her, I don't think Nagatsuki is gonna like what she hears.
