I feel so bad for her... Being forced to be obedient from childhood just to survive. No wonder she found such joy when around the female lead. She felt free for the first time in years
Do hope that failure of a brother die of a pathetic mannner. Also never seen a manga where none of the mens seem to be nice at all and yet again a painful remember than women at this time where nothing but objects who need to be married to someone rich. No wonder she love Shim, she is what Madam always want to be so it's normal she want to keep her by her side.
@Pen3 If i judged by the little omake in the raw, i think both the artist and author are males. I'm thinking they just make the mens act like they do at this time.
Ok but i don't think the gender influence that much, i think it's more trying to be accurate with mens behavior with women at this point and well i do see why they win an award since i found the art style very pretty.
the author for sure is a woman. these are the same people who made magical 12 graders. i'm pretty sure biwan is a guy tho. in the post script for magical 12th graders seri refers to biwan as he, but this could also be because biwan draws himself as obi-wan kenobi.
either way, it's period accurate. could also be a modern day commentary since from what i remember, korea is still pretty sexist.
