So he's part of Purgatory. I think we can all see where the future rematch will be now.

Idk why the guy talking about Sekibayashi giving up the belt made me laugh so much. Must be from seeing him in a chummy light like that.

Oddly, after Kengan Asura's incredibly strong protagonist , it's kind of fun to see this piker have to learn everything.

I guess it's just more enjoyable to see someone claw their way to the top. No offense to our last protagonist but it was pretty clear he had the innate talent to basically best nearly everyone

Now that I think about it, that was basically Yamashita's entire purpose in Kengan Asura: Ohma got to be OP from the beginning (although he still had some significant power increases along the way), while Yamashita got to run the "started as a frightened loser, now we on top" side of more traditional main character development. It's like they cut the usual main character idea in half and gave each one of them a piece.

Getting to the tournament arc also really helped, because even though it was a foregone conclusion Ohma would win his fights, there were a ton of characters participating where you weren't able to say "oh look, it's the protag - time for him to win again", and they virtually all had some compelling or interesting backstory/character.
