I think it is safe to say that they are indeed vampires. They show a lot of "typical" vampire cliches:
- drinking blood
- bite marks
- bitten victims are under some sort of hypnotic spell
- total disregard for human lives
- view humans as nothing but food
- acting mostly during the night or inside of rooms with no windows
- super strong
- apparently able to turn humans into their own kind (at least the "friend" option in this chapter implied it)
Pretty sure they are either vampires or something very close.

where is Ushiro (the fat guy wearing a cap), is he hiding? So now there are at least three PoV groups, each one tries to survive, rescue their friends and escape this doomed ship.

they need to find a way to make contact with outside. Seem this ship is blocking all communication (phone. etc..)

I have a feeling that the servants are a different type of monster with the way they were grinding up the bodies earlier, since most vampires in literature don’t eat solids, and they didn’t seem to be collecting blood at that point.
It seems alittle bit of a waste just to kill the humans and throw them into a pool
