@venomx99x It would be very hard for most weapons to pierce through good armor, agreed, but anything that funnels strikes to the same spot on the armor (rounded or triangle armor boob plates) is potentially bad and makes for not only a weaker spot on the armor but perfectly guides a weapon to where it can do more harm (weakening a spot on the armor to potentially pierce through, glancing upwards into your face). Armor should deflect away from you and the armor's joints and welded pieces, not towards them.
Also, the metal there will likely be weaker just by the fact that it isn't a unified solid surface... most bent metal will often cause fatigue in the structure.
