@gum_rummy I think she meant that the core personality of the person doesn't change. Rather, all it does is add an extra layer on top of what's already there that makes them love her and prioritize her well-being and will. The only times it really changes a person's behavior contrary to how they were before is if they were negatively associated with Himeno, such as the bullies. If a woman who is a scumbag is stung by her they're still a scumbag, just not towards her.

With that said, I could be mistaken and being stung actually does brainwash them completely. However, between the researcher who is still as research obsessed as she is and the mother that is still an absolute bitch, it seems like their core being is still (mostly)intact.
