Formless technique to the extreme, just over done terminal velocity? Honestly, they seem to have to endure much worse impacts in their battles on regular basis. Don't know why the falling damage would cause any bother at all.

if we assume similar to earth gravity and that there is negligible drag in this pseudo-space it would have taken him approximately 101 seconds to fall 50000 meters (50 Km). now, it's clearly stated that he fell further because he STILL COULDN'T SEE THE BOTTOM at that point, so the actual force of impact would be more, but if he'd hit bottom at that moment he'd be falling at nearly 1000m/s and come to an instantaneous stop (for math's sake let's say stopped within 1/10th of a second) that'd be ~800,000 newtons of force (which might be hard to imagine as just a number, but for comparison's sake a small car crashing at 30 m/s (~67mph) only generates between 300,000 and 500,000 newtons of force depending on the location of the center of mass relative to the car's overall frame...and mind you that's the TOTAL force acting on the car itself, not the force experienced by the driver)
*I looked up the car part of that, but did take the time to double check the basic maths to be sure there weren't any obvious errors in it

Why would we assume negligible drag? The place has air, at least they haven't stated otherwise, and thus air resistance would be a thing. Nowhere did they state that the gravity would be somehow super dense either, so normal terminal velocity would still be a thing in that space. The kinetic energy doesn't just accumulate on it's own there. Regular humans have been know to survive terminal velocity falls. (Rare, but it happens from time to time.)

yep terminal velocity for sure, in fact there should be MORE drag if anything caused by the miasma
