@Sparky I think Saitama only said 'Serious Series' when people where nearby and, as for Boros I think Saitama only said 'Serious series' to let him have some sense of satisfaction before he die.

People should start to understand why Boros was a better fight because he wasn't hyped at all. He arrived from nowhere with no background to him aside from the prophecy. That made more exciting seeing his overall strength. Now for Orochi, the manga was building him up like this super powerful leader of the monster association and his design helped a lot with the whole idea: Wow, this guy must be pretty strong for a monster standard.

Now, talking about Garou. His building up has been done right because we see him getting stronger and stronger with every foe he faces. He is weaker in comparison to Boros but it is more exciting the way his character was written.

this was a sad chapter.

don't know exactly how to describe, but the pace of the history, the dialogue, the fight.
Everything felt diferent from the masterpiece that one punch have come to be.

in the first scene saitama is in the serious mode, when there is the shadows in him and muscles defined.
in the next he comes back to the "dumb mode".

the dialogues feel forced and out of sintony with the frames.
like they forced the webcomics text, the feel of then was pretty similar with how saitama talks to garou.

the faces that he makes during the fight give an odd sensation.
the fight per se is pratically a mess that you have to stop and look carefully to understand what is going on.

and even if orochi isn't saitama's level, we can make some correlations, like:
gouketsu and elder centepide are obviously stronger than boros subordinates.
and orochi is at least strong enought to easily win over then.
so even if orochi isn't stronger than boros. saitama still would have to use a serious series.
and still orochi gives a felling that he surpasses boros.
vide boros cuting the clouds with his laser, and orochi cuting the earth.
