I’d say help the author set up a patreon.
There’s all this story about accessibility/not receiving alternatives for easier accessibility, but often the author just has no idea such alternatives exist. They don’t know how the western internet works because of language barriers and because a lot of English services are blocked. It’s a totally different internet culture there.
Or, they could be constrained by their publishing company.
I think the English audience here definitely have a portion of people willing to support the author, just the author has no idea of it nor knows how to operate it.
You can set a delay of 1 to 2 weeks for chapters outside of patreon, and that way it won’t make the people who still read it for free go to alternatives, but rather give an incentive for the people who do have money and resources to support the author. As for other groups translating it, I’d like to think people are reasonable enough to respect the author’s wishes if it is what would help support the author.
