I don't know where Coco dredged up these two senpai, but their presence doesn't give me any confidence that Igarashi will remember his 20th as a "Happy Birthday." And what about the photo of Subaru on Igarashi's phone? I wonder when he took that... and how Chiyo would feel if she saw it.

@HammerU89 The longer this goes on the more I fear the possibility that the author might very genuinely believe that Chiyo is the good guy in all of this and hasn't actually done anything erroneous; not only that but Igurashi is the one in the wrong and deserves the treatment he's getting.

@HammerU89 @MacMeaties Actually, from what I can glean from the comicojp comments sections (I have to use online translators as I can't actually read Japanese), it seems that the vast majority of the Japanese readers currently despise Igarashi, but it's usually been that way, anyhow. There is usually very little criticism about Chiyo and how she acts. Like this "love" itself, the character support is very much one-sided and the audience, like all the side-characters, gang up on Igarashi. And, yes, it does seem that Coco has almost always gone out of her way to make Igarashi "the bad guy" in the relationship. Sad to think that it was almost a hundred chapters ago that Chiyo had a brief moment of self-awareness during the Red Glasses Girl incident, and actually apologied to Igarashi, but that momentary spasm of self-reflection and humility quickly evaporated.

Be nice if at some point you remove the halo from Chiyo and the devil horns you've placed on Igurashi. She's been selfish and a horrible g/f for most of the story and sure Igurashi screwed up with the ---- event but he's always had her best interest but she can't say the same.

No one mentioned this but Kitamoto said he was allergic to liquer and so doesn't drink. So any 'Not An Asshole' person would take his word and not spike his drink because if it's NOT a lie then the outcome would be hospitalization or fucking DEATH! This Fker does it anyway because reasons! So it's no surprise what happens in other chapters because this moment defined what a piece of shit he is. A selfish f'ing asshole! If he wasn't there everything would have been fine. These are not friends, they do not have your back and they will not stick by you and help in your time of need.

Also, that pic of Subaru was probably her profile picture on her Lime account. Mr. Asshole was going through his Lime contacts.
