Somehow I have a hard time seeing this turn into a positive experience for Ishigami.
Maybe he's set up to be more of a tragic character with no real happy ending?

Also, I can't sympathize with any of the female characters in this chapter. Feels all like huge set-up for something else, but it doesn't really get to me yet.

@Tsudow Throwing in another voice for the massive NOPE vote. Like @Hollow7F, I was cool with the ship before this arc, because of the whole frenemies getting together thing, but after the shit he's been put through the last few chapters by Tsubame and Iino, I totally want Ishigami to hook up with some completely random third party just to spite them.

As an aside, I honestly didn't think my respect for Tsubame could get any lower. I mean, she could have literally just sat Ishigami down for a 5 minute conversation to give him the details about how her last relationship went and why she's not really ready for another one, but instead she essentially just rejects him completely while also offering him a pity fuck. Worst part is Ishigami, being the guy he is, would have understood 100% and they could have left that party has friends with the potential to become more when she decided she was ready to try dating again; instead, she did what she did and now there's a mass of bitter feelings between everyone involved.

she is cute but I hope she won't get hurt with this. I personally cheer them both, but Ishigami...is still in love with Tsubame.

Wow. Miko's more broken than we thought.
Poor Ishigami needs to run before she puts 2 and 2 together and stabs some "forevers" into him.

Only question is... run to Maki or to Chika?

It really feels like to keep up their numbers as a manga in a seinen publication they really started pushing things into that direction. I actually enjoy it more this way though.

Uh, for the speedreading dumbasses,
IIno was clearly goaded into this whole "make Ishigami work for me" thing by Onodera. She even lays it on Iino by implying that Ishigami is suffering from guilt unless Iino does something to help alleviate it. So no, she's not randomly taking advantage of him.
Also, it's painfully clear that Ishigami really doesn't give a shit about her ordering him around. Hell, to some degree, he even feels more validated now that he's able to protect Miko again, rather than the other way around.

Reading it seems more like the opposite to me. She's not goading, she's pointing it out in a 'do you realize what you're doing here?' way.
More or less going "wow, you're really using him aren't you. Enjoy wringing him out while the going's good huh?"

And then at the end, that sinking feeling from Miko starting to feel like abusing that guilt is 'being loved', and how bad it'll be if she "realizes" this.

@Variousletters What? Onodera is the one who brings up the idea in the first place. Iino hasn't even done anything, since the entire chapter (except the beginning and the end) is set before school started. I.e "Miko Iino's Winter Break"

Things I got from this chapter:
-I still vastly prefer senpai over Iino
-In a series full of beautiful girls,Osaragi who is drawn as plain as possible is said to be popular and beautiful
-I hope Osaragi is simply worried that Iino might be heartbroken by being rejected by Ishigami, and it's not that she doesn't want Iino to realize she is in love for some hidden agenda of hers
-we already know that senpai has next to nothing chances against Iino, but the fact that she had a boyfriend further cements her position as the loser
-who was Onodera?
