Then don't read Japanese manga. They didn't draw this for you. They made these for Japanese people and you've been illegally reading this. Most of Japanese mangas are not translated into English, for various reasons, people being triggered about Japanese food and POV being one of them. You are not the target audience.

Don't expect people to satisfy you when you're not the target audience. The target audience is Japanese, and Japanese people love food. Japanese people enjoy Japanese food. And some mangakas want to bring the rest of the Japanese people who have been westernized to go back to their roots.

Would you complain if a French period novel proclaims the French as the fount of all elegance and look down on American barbarism? There are plenty of those novels, I've been told. You just don't see them because they're not translated into English.
Also, I do not watch Paris Hilton. Why would anyone watch that trash? And why would Americans watch The Kardashians? It's mindblowingly dumb. As someone who cooks I'm always a little disappointed that Japanese food gets replicated on a 1 for 1 basis. I'd like to see the principles of Japanese food applied to fantasy ingredients.
But of course that would require more research, so it doesn't happen. Mangaka are too busy to do that for a non-food centered series

Honestly I only recall there only being this chapter that does the food. It was used for nostalgia for the mc and since the game was presumably designed in Japan, there can be Japanese influence in the game design. and yes the target audience is people from Japan as this is where they get most of their sales from, so using Japanese cuisine in which the audience recognizes does make sense, so I honestly don't get wtf you guys are going on about. This isn't even a fking food focused manga
