And so the plot thickens. This manga really is terrific. I'm shocked it isn't more popular. Hopefully it gets picked up for an anime adaptation because it definitely deserves more attention.

I don't know yet, I mean do we have enough material? Because lots of chapters are things that could be covered in 30 seconds 1 minute.
Let's say is the standard 12 episodes, where does it end? I can't really see a good point to stop things, but eh, hasn't stopped other adaptations before just ending awkwardly.

There's more than enough material. Furthermore, a chapter of manga that takes a minute to read can easily be 5 minutes of animation without even padding it out, just by virtue of good pacing and natural delivery of dialog.

Personally, I think adapting everything up to chapter 30 would make an excellent cour of anime. Alec successfully ingratiates himself with all seven princesses, giving them all their own time in the spotlight, and the season would end on the marriage revelation. If the pacing is handled properly, it could easily work out well. There's no shortage of studios that could pull it off.

Alec's brother seems like a dick

Perhaps the author figured a harem ending wouldn't be satisfying and decided to bring in more husbands?

Would be an awful set up imo Alec's kingdom have been set up as the faraway antagonists. Even Illias scorned Alec, thinking his failure as fact.
It's gonna take some SERIOUS character development arcs to undo all of that
