No way you killed a eight foot tall mantis with a boomerang. I don't care what its made out of. Also they established a 1 min timer for being on the island because of the insects at the shore and yet everyone came ashore during the chaos and nothing happened.

Summer crew start was far more realistic with the local wildlife. This island is just madness with giant insects.
