for too long, the staff members have been making the anniversary threads
it’s about time us forum regulars make one ourselves
so I apologize to every person who doesn’t know me and sees this thread, thinking I’m a moderator when in reality I’m just a purple guy who left these forums a month ago and suddenly came back on that same month and then disappeared the following week
but seriously, 7 years
7 years of development
7 years of constant growth and popularity
7 years of this website just existing
even if I just discovered this site like 2 years ago and its forums half a year ago, I still have to commend the hard work and dedication put into this site to make it one of the best manga aggregating sites to ever exist
so thank you, to every moderator, vip and developer of mangadex out there, and I wish for another happy year of this site’s existence
Happy (early) Birthday, MangaDex. (Plykiya had consistently celebrated MangaDex's birthday on the 17th, because that was when the site was made public, but the reason why I'm posting this a week earlier is partly because I fear that Kafka (or any other staff member) would post the anniversary thread on time this year)
but before we can end things with the quotes from our lovely regulars, we gotta recap some major shit that happened in the forums last year
so here they are:
11/3/24: @hazzack silently left the forums. This was his last post.
17/3/24: @Thepandas12 loudly left the forums.
16/4/24: @ieatass69 left the forums with a voice that wasn't too quiet, nor too loud.
14/7/24: @Devourer was banned. (go back a page or two to see why he was).
14/8/24: @Zephyrus updated Hoist the Colors after 8 months of silence.
23/8/24: @Blocky_Mudkip said he should cut back on forum usage. (which he did, until December, where he came back for good)
6/11/24: @NotGary stopped posting in the forums. This was his last post. (though, one look at his profile suggests that he is still alive, just permanently lurking the forums)
23/11/24: @Mr_Detective hosted his 5th music tournament.
8/12/24: I (briefly) left the forums.
9/12/24: @vmman (very briefly) left the forums too.
9/12/24: @athayanezant briefly left the forums too.
