The Emperor obviously cares for Jean (even if he act like he doesn't), he should be stabbed with a million knives now...yet nothing. Even if we presume that "action" had to be combined with "feeling" then when he fed her in front of all those people, he should've been withering in pain.

i wonder if the older evil princess is really dead though on ch.17 around page 18 looks like he's using some kinda healing on her why do that if she's dead unless it's to seal the wound for presentation sake at a funeral but don't think he would do that.
While the MC does have the Emperor's favor without realizing it i'd say May is pretty important to him with that power of her's to. We also don't know anything yet about the other daughter.
Yeah think he will certainly help her.
