I like that we aren't stuck in a tournament arc, so MCs can still afford to lose, and gain something from it and develop. Its not better or worse than Asura, its just different. Not having a ticking clock is less tense, but has more freedom of creativity when it comes to taking to story where you want. That being said, when this manga gets into THE tournament....words are not going to be able to describe the hype,

Hmm this is difficult indeed. On one hand, it's good that Koga changed him. But now it seems like Akoya wants to change him too. Not good. The fact that he's a blank slate does work both ways.
Another tricky thing is, Gaoh needs to figure out a fighting style that doesn't intend to kill. And it looks like the style he's using is geared toward murder. I can't imagine it being easy to change something so ingrained.
