I don't believe Ushiro died. This author is really bad at killing off named character.
I'm sure all 7 of them will survive just fine in the end, even at the cost of every single miraculous coincidences known to man.

@TwoCranes I sure hope you're right. Ushiro was such a good dude to sacrifice himself like that. And it seems he lived a pretty rough life as an outcast. Justice needs to be served for his case
