Blocking a user will only stop you from seeing comments and/or getting messages from that user. It will do nothing to stop seeing chapters uploaded by that user. Only blocking a group will stop chapters from showing up and since he's attributed his spam chapters to different groups (that seem to be mostly inactive) that won't be much help either.
