I feel like this 'development' is railroaded. Maybe it's what the author had in mind all along, but the way it's now presented, all leading to Uruka being the chosen one by default, feels very unsatisfying.

Best girl finally wins! After the disappointment of the quintuplets manga, this makes up for it.

Yeah its a Uruka win, I'm not gonna lose sleep over it but to be honest yeah their relationship wasn't the most interesting as far as on-screen interactions go, and the real meat of the relationship was only recently shown when before it was told to us. Force ghost Yugia-dad wasn't something I expected though.

I hate Uruka, but she was the one with the highest chances of winning, tbh. Sucks.

I used to like her, but her flipflopping in determination to confess constantly so the author could maintain the status quo pissed me off.

I'd like her to win, but somehow I feel it'll just be some BS and then we'll get 300 more chapters of nothing happening. That's how manga works.

@Sylveran I agree, unsatisfying is definitely the word. I used to think that I would enjoy an Uruka end (even tho I would´ve liked either Sensei or Senpai to win) but ever since her scholarship thing came up I felt that she lost her charm as a character. Maybe Mizuki´s backstory and DEM ghost dad were the cards the author kept in his hand since his beginning, but I don´t like the way they were played.

Not to mention airport races are a cliché that I thought was extinct since a decade ago, and with good reason too.

I think an Uruka ending would have been less unsatisfying if the author hadn't been allocating screentime based on character popularity

@bloodriver IMO, the Mizuki card should have been played ages ago so Uruka wont seem like the girl who kept chickening out her own confession. And the Dad thing would probably be a lot better if the dad wasnt pushing Uruka so hard and instead be neutral so other girls can use it too. The way these two are being played now seems nothing more than an asspull to justify Uruka winning

if the Manga got the same ending as Anime, that would be a big disappointment for all shippers.

@Talismaster

agreed. honestly, i like the fact that Nariyuki is genuinely thinking her confession through.
since she's the only one who told him so directly.

but maybe some people will get removed ala Nisekoi? idk, harem manga are always so hard to end with a single choice.

To be honest, I like Kirisu sensei the most as both of them have the same idea of becoming teachers and both were under the influence of MC's dad. But I understand the choice of Uruka and author is justifying why she's the choice.

Uruka winning is going to feel really shallow when it happens, isn't it?
