@ae0n I think most of those bonuses were for his first trip to another world, plus his first kill, first time leveling up, first xp generating experience, and other things like that combined. It's kind of like how some manga with videogame elements, will give a bonus for killing a boss, or clearing a dungeon, for the first person to accomplish it only.

Yeah, it's quite normal for a game to give such high first time bonuses (specially Gacha and free rolls with guarantee SSR), but he got lucky that he received OP gear early and made use of the bonuses.

Kinda disappointing he didn't work for anything he gained. He literally went from 0 to 100 in the space of 2 chapters. One of the issues I normally have with isekai manga.

ngl this is a pretty disappointing development. I was hoping he would keep his original figure and still become an op badass. That way the MC can learn to accept himself and teach others that his looks don’t define his character, but nope. The series was already off to a rocky start with the generic “everyone except the mc and cute girls are absolute dog shit”. I’m sorry, but no matter how many times I read it, I find it hard to believe that the MC’s entire family (excluding that Grandpa who raised at least one of the parents), all of his classmates, apparently the staff that won’t step when a student gets hospital grade injuries, and his employer all treat the MC like trash and won’t show basic human concern for him. I was however interested because I thought the MC would step into another world, gain skills, become confident in himself, and meet people that judge him based off of merit and not his looks, AND THEN he would slowly grow as a person on the inside and with his same “ugly” appearance no longer care what the people surrounding think about him and succeed and both worlds. This just feels so... basic. The MC just suddenly got granted everything he wanted and a new cool appearance without even trying. What type of message is the author trying to get across? “Don’t bother maturing; appearance is all that matters; you will be handed the change you want”? Wish Fulfillment and isekai are already too super generic tropes that are hard enough to make a good story out of. Don’t combine the two and expect the story to be taken seriously or otherwise be good. I might, buy into it if this was a comedy series and it made fun of itself and the genres (because there is a lot to make fun of here; like so bad its funny), but just the fact that I’m expected to take this seriously is sad. Not because it’s an isekai or fiction, but because it’s not even trying to tell a good story with any depth. I’d have to really hate myself and want to waste time to read this (so.... yeah.... see you guys next chapter).

maybe it's just me but not a fan of this idea, MC becoming super handsome after finding the door just validates all the bullying and his horrible life before. he should have kept his original figure and risen above it instead of magically turning handsome not to mention unless he's planning on living in the isekai world for the rest of his life his life in the normal world is now destroyed, his ID is wrong, his family won't recognize him, he won't be a citizen etc.

@Doomer @TNT261 @Torbin12 Same here. I was hoping the whole time that it'd be a case of him getting power and whatnot, but still looking the same. Especially since the one girl he saved was already looking to thank him, even though they met in his fat form (which, it's going to be strange to work her in, since she probably won't recognize him in his new form).

While it might be fun to see the people who were shit to him earlier suddenly backpedal now that he's not fat (and him outright deny their attempts, fingers crossed), I was definitely hoping for it to play up his self-confidence issues and general misery a little more for him to then character-develop out of it.

Also, why not giving a family secret about this others world... Just nonsens to let your child think the harsh way when you can let him be inspire by you, giving him a legacy that time after time he would accept...
There is nothing wrong by making your family healthy in both world to prevent this kind of bully, and there is nothing wrong to inspire your child (because i'm sur he didn't die without having some big time with MC) to prevent one to rebelle at one age...
