@thock3d Heck, I went to medical school and I don't know how to actually make those things. Like from scratch? Nope. I think people would be surprised how little they're actually capable of doing once they're thrust in a society where the technology the things they're used to doing doesn't exist. Like we're operating as a society at a level that's several tiers above the levels of these alternate worlds. Most of us aren't even capable of making our own appropriate shelter that wouldn't just fall over or flood in a storm. People overestimate themselves a lot.

@APersonOnAComp I can't make rice. Most people can't find water, make fire, known whether something is poisonous. I live on an rural area, sometimes i go around to eat things on the forest. You would be surprised to know how little you can find. I found *watermelon wild version*, purple banana, *guava wild version*, *pickle wild version*, water mine. Assuming you're on an continent with florest like here (Brazil), you could survive at most for 1 hour because I didn't mention that I found snakes on every place that I found those fruits.

@owyn its called home & economics and its a pretty useful class if i say so myself. ( we have those is sweden) and it doesnt only teach how to cook it also teaches how to clean use chemicals the right way how to budget and other things that are neccessary in daily life.
