Nice moves. Lots of manga when a girl starts getting strangled like that she struggles ineffectually until a white knight comes to save her. But there's actually lots of good moves against that kind of strangling; strangling someone like that makes you really vulnerable and it's a hold that's quite easy to break. One of the simplest is, arms straight up between their wrists and circle outward; even if someone's bigger and stronger than you, their grip can't beat the strength and leverage of your whole arm and shoulder. Turning sideways can disrupt their grip while you pick off one of those hands they've offered you and twist it in interesting ways. And of course, no matter how you want to hit someone strangling you, they can't block because they're using their arms, and they can't really dodge either. Eyes is good, throat, ear clap if you can reach . . . if you can't reach well 'cause their arms are longer, you can still probably kick them in the voonerables, kneecaps etc.
So if someone ever starts to strangle you, don't panic, they're a moron who have just given you on a silver platter various means to harm them. As our heroine just demonstrated.
