No one will dare to try animating OPM after this. Unless they can gather the same level of talents as season 1, which is unlikely, they'd only be embarrassing themselves compared to the source material.

source material
If you're talking about this, Murata Yuusuke's manga, it's an adaptation.
That said, even Mob Psycho 100 had an amazing anime adaptation too, so even if it's with ONE's original style, a second season of OPM still would be put up to a very high standard.

Honestly, Murata is just inhuman. Final shots kinda remind me of Ganishka's Shiva form in Berserk.

The ‘Big’ subboss gets defeated by psychic girl, while the smaller real boss gets defeated by saitama, huh

did the female villain merge with the monster willingly or unwillingly? She powered up because of it

Beautiful art as always. But Murata is sooooo bad at writing filler. Fucking. Move. On.

@Raido

after the boros arc, the manga has run every character moment and joke into the ground.

its stopped being a 1 gag manga that is presented in different ways, and has become full shonen battle.

It was always a battle manga. I don't think the gag label ever fit the series considering the humor was always accompanied by legit story and action. Comedy is only one element of the series and is at times so few and far in between certain moments in the story. I'm confused at how the inclusion of this scenario changes your perception of the series when the original story arc in the webcomic was already full of battles.

The purpose of the series was never to solely mock battle manga. Most of the gags have nothing to do with parodying battle manga scenarios. It was meant to be a spin on battle manga conventions by revolving around a character, unremarkable in both looks and personality, who already fulfilled his goal to be the strongest at the start of this story. And most of the humor is derived from this atypical protagonist's interactions with other characters.

ONE is actually the one who writes the arcs even the filler stuff. He storyboards it and Murata draws it. I think it's him adding stuff he wished he had back in the webcomic.
