Because it wasn't meant to fight these guys. Military weapon, it's meant to fight soldiers. Even our MC got pisspants from what amounts to dragonfear. What would legions of normal soldiers do? Also don't forget, you could be buck naked in this world and not be harmed by someone whose stats are below yours by a lot.
And you SAW what its stats looked like. Compare and contrast to a normal human.

Well actually core is no more of a weakness then any other part of the chimera. If struck, it will regenerate like any other part. Fate is the one who can kill it only because of his gluttony skill.

actually the update this once a week, even if there are a few extra raws. Since it was a monthly series they did it this way so there won't be much wait for the next.
They have been lagging in uploading to mangadex. On their site chapter, 19 was uploaded a week in a half ago. 20 was uploaded today I think. Plus they're more quality over quantity which some times takes between 1-2 weeks because of IRL and other projects they work on.
Sniping is when someone who out of nowhere takes a project someone else is working on. whether anyone owns it or not.
Usually, when another group takes over a project they let each other know so that there won't be any unnecessary problems in the future.

@kilisloe All of what you said makes it worse for whim in my eyes XD They had 19 on their site since almost two weeks ago and upload onto here when someone else doesn't wanna wait and uploads instead of them. Seems like they're just trying to maximize traffic to their site so they could get more donations.

These are fan translated. There should be no "sniping". Sniping a project only comes into play when you are doing it for financial reasons which is a pretty shitty thing considering they are complaining about losing money when they themselves just "sniped" the profits from the content creator.
