Here I don't understand the English version. I believe that "wincing" is like "winking"? If that's so, it's not "grimper" but "cligner de l'œil".
The boy speech is a bit odd. When talking to someone you are familiar with or close in age, in french we use "tu" instead of "vous". The conjugaison changes too, so it's not "-ez" at the end of the verbs.
Finally, another nit-picking one. "nervous" for a girl is "nerveuse".
