This translation is so subpar, I refuse to read it after 44 chapters of such excellent work from Home Hero Scans.

It is not, by no means of the word, serviceable.

To give an example,

Page 15, MTL (most likely) scan, bottom three bubbles
"you", "think about my son!", "do you know!"

Page 16, HHS scan, corresponding bottom three bubbles,
"who cares", "about the daughter", "of someone like you"

That almost changes the entire scene completely. There are more examples like this and I'm sure even more will pop up in chapter 45.

@cazzus It seems evident to many people here so you didn't get a meaningful explanation. On mangadex every chapter uploaded has the same treatment, be it botched or done with care. Thus a group who spends more time to do a good scanlation is put as an unfair advantage : their chapter are uploaded later and the only diference is the name of the group. Most people do not care about the group's name and there isn't a ranking system for every chapter.

You may think that it's still fine, that's your opinion after all, but most people here desire a slower release with quality than a botched faster one. If we allow this snipe to continue most current readers + all future readers will only read the bad version. Look at the view count of chapter 44 for Home Hero Scans : it's barely above 3000 views, the worst they have ever done on any chapter. The sniper has the same amount on his worse chapter. Fan scanlations groups like Home Hero Scan wishes to share a manga they find cool, if they see people are reading the worst version instead then why would they continue? Allowing snipers is the same as punishing groups who chooses quality over quantity.

If a referee doesn't stop a football player from kicking people then don't expect a fair game. Every player will cheat (bad quality scanlation) or quit.
