She started to turn even more twisted, and fucked her other son up in the process (there's a scene where he starts to rock back and forth muttering 'sorry' because she overheard him talking with Marianne about the cult and how maybe they could try finding Black Warrior to help because he's killed a dragon, he should be able to help with this, and she responds to overhearing this by fucking choking Marianne, ordering Lyas to tell her anything he learns about the Black Warrior, and then dragging Melianne by the hair out the room and throwing her out. All while letting out massive amounts of killing intent.)

Also, the King is canonically alive because Marianne interacts with him just before that incident.

Completely unrelated, but the genuine respect and care Lyas and Marianne show towards Haruto? Good shit. They both admire him and Lyas has this tsundere attitude towards him except more honest and not very tsun, he just tries to pretend he doesn't think he's that cool and it's great. Can;t wait for the big reveal so that the family dynamic can begin.

"Loosely-attached" means she can't fight at ALL like she used to since her head would fall off.

It's not just dumb; he basically straight up removed her ability to fight, crippling the so-called "strongest" in a country where collars are associated with slavery and nobles have lots of pride over their strength.

She's weak/near-powerless, she's got a slave collar, and she probably has a LOT of enemies (demons and oppressed humans alike) who want her dead, including the subordinates she herself abuses.
