@nascence He's not dead, tbh, I'd still prefer this have continued on, just without him. It might not be the EXACT same in quality, but it'd prolly still be good if they found the right person. Just a pity that the scum bag gets to keep his rights to this IP while having caused all this mess. Imo, having ruined things for so many people is why I think a fitting punishment would be for him to have lost his rights to Act-Age's creative process/ownership/future monetary gains. It'd be fitting for him to lose his baby (cause he can always still write the story for himself in private and complete it on his own and it's still "his" then) due to him being a shit head.

Oh well, can't change shit now.

dunno if anyone is confused about the comment sections. I was only informed on twitter that the author is going to do jail time because he did something to a minor. condolences to the victim and give attention to the artist who is now out of work.
this really was a great story, I'm sad that this is the conclusion. and as far as copyright goes, his work isn't something to be claimed by others. and it'd be odd if anyone was willing to pick up this hot potato. I do hope sometime in the future, the company that publishes this series continues it with a indirect sequel, the concept is interesting enough

This series held so much promise, but I understand why it had to be given an early end. I’m glad action has been taken for the sake of the victims and I hope they have received proper support through all this.

Usazaki-sensei, I have followed you on Twitter and I will support you on your future endeavors. You have been a wonderful mangaka for Act-Age, your magnificent artwork played such a strong role in telling this story. I can’t imagine another mangaka doing it justice and I am very grateful to have seen your work.

Remember kids, don't try to pull stuff you see in fiction.

@IrregularPerson no dice. Shueisha (WSJ) cut ties with author and blacklisted the series from the magazine, in fact we do got this last chapter cuz they already made the print version before all happened so.

@Caglio
Possessing child porn video is like getting high by using meth. And sexual harassment is like selling the drug.
Indeed possessing hardcandy video isn't harm anyone, but it has potential that lead them to do the bad crime.
And it was proven that he possess child porn in his house.

That's why I wonder why he is still fine.

@AgentKuga
Don't worry, she is still 23 y.o. She has long potential to become high level pro.
Remember that Koe no Katachi was written by a woman whose first job was an artist of manga adaptation of a novel. Now that author score another anime adaptation hit

Last week I would never have imagined I'd be reading the final chapter of this so soon, let alone the reason why. It was a fantastic series while it lasted, but fuck the author for being a massive piece of shit. I can at least look forward to what Usazaki will do next.

@ZeonII even if he continue from jail, nobody want to get guilty by association or look like supporting criminals. good luck find the artist and publisher who willing to do so.

Viz didn't even release this on their website, nor on MangaPlus. They could've at least put it up.
