Where's your source for this? I dont believe that's true. The author has stated that the story was originally planned for around 100 chs but actually was doing so well that they were allowed to finish with however many needed.

They actually weren't planning on writing side stories at all, but decided to after an overwhelming amount of fans requested it at the conclusion of the main story.
