@FStubbs Well, I did mean that he'd investigate her and connect her to all those different "angel" deeds – which would give the emperor a perfectly justifiable reason to assign her as his personal maid or some variant thereof. That said, she is originally from Cloyen (I think that's what it's called?), and the staff does know this. It's possible that with enough digging he'd be able to find her background, or suspicious lack of one. I do agree with you that he'd probably need to figure out why the Western emperor is here first to draw any definitive conclusions, though.

That's one thing that has been bothering me this whole time. I get that the only thing really keeping the story going is her fear of being found out....but no one knows what the princess looked like...also it's not like the princess was known to be some kinda super talented person. No matter what someone says she can just deny being the princess, and maybe she could've spent some time building a cover story, and no one would ever figure out who she is and it wouldn't matter if she stood out.

@Keansor I'm not sure the staff knows that, because the West didn't interrogate her when they were examining the maids from Cloyan. That being said, yes, her probably paper-thin background would instantly come out as suspicious.

One thing I could see coming from that is, if they know she's from Cloyan, and now she has mystery solving powers, they'll ask her - since she's a maid - if she ever ran into Princess Morina. At that point, her best defense would be a misleadingly true statement like "I never met the princess."
