Fun fact - the japanese version is making a different pun than the translation. In Japanese, the manga is a gag about how "yo" is used a lot in rap, but is also the japanese assertive particle, i.e. If I say "yo" then I'm saying something you're unaware of or would disagree with. So when she says 好きだYO!, or suki da yo!, she's using "yo" as both the english rap word and to make an assertion that she likes the boy. The boy responds with 俺も好きだよ, or ore mo suki da yo. Basically saying the same thing as her but using the normal Japanese yo instead of English. Its cute wordplay in Japanese, but doesn't translate directly to English. So the translators made the "I like yo" instead of "I like you" joke instead, which was a good use of non-literal translation.
